PoE Shield

Description

The current PoE Shield headers do not come pre-soldered. We will fix this issue on future production runs of shields.

The PoE shield lets you connect your Cam to PoE Ethernet. This gives you a one-cable solution for power and connectivity. The PoE Shield features a 10/100 Mb/s capable ethernet jack with IEEE802.3af PoE support capable of providing up to 6W of power to your Cam. The PoE Shield supplies 5.4V via VIN through an OR’ing diode, allowing it to be combined with any of our dual header column shields that supply VIN via an OR’ing diode.

Note that the PoE shield will only work with Cams with onboard ethernet, such as the Cam RT1062. Also, the PoE Shield comes with the mounting hardware and screws pictured.
